Jabari is the 45-year-old Keeper of Leo in my YA Fantasy, SON OF THE SUN. Standing at a remarkable 7 feet tall with bright red eyes, Jabari is never without his lucky Staff of Leo. A large scar across his throat alludes to his dark and complex past. He is the eldest Zodiac Keeper and the last survivor of his generation. He is the bridge between the Zodiac Keepers and their past. Once seeking refuge and solitude with a pride of lions outside his African village, Jabari is forced to return to the life he hoped to avoid. He is the only one capable of leading and guiding the next generation of Zodiac Keepers, not shying away from his sense of duty.
