Pisces Mantra

“I will follow my own path.”

Pisces is the most spiritual and intuitive Sun Sign in the Zodiac. They are gentle and compassionate, always offering a helping hand to those in need. They are often selfless and don't actively seek personal gain or power. However, their willingness to give to others may be exploited by those hoping to take advantage of their kindness. A Pisces may be overly trusting and can become a victim if they aren't careful. Pisces rejects criticism and detests cruelty, wanting to be surrounded by positive deeds. Pisces are artistic, enjoying music and romance. Pisces are ideal for working in creative and charitable pursuits.

What to Know about Pisces

Pisces is a Water Sign, along with Cancer and Scorpio. Water is a feminine element that combines the Zodiac qualities of cold and wet. The watery nature of Pisces promotes intuition and spirituality. Pisces is the Twelfth and final house of the Zodiac, representing the end of a cycle. As one cycle comes to a close, the light of a new day is just on the horizon, bringing about the hope of Spring. The totem of Pisces is the Fish, which is often associated with Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty. Pisces is associated with romance and beauty because of the sign's connection to Aphrodite.

Pisces' ruling planet is Neptune and Jupiter, with Neptune having the greatest influence. Neptune alludes to the watery nature of Pisces, which is the only sign to have Neptune as its ruling planet. Neptune encourages Pisces to be self-sacrificing and compassionate towards humanity. Neptune also casts a shadow of secrecy over Pisces, making it harder for them to handle their deep emotions. This may cause a Pisces to escape from reality and run from the past, using avoidance as a coping mechanism.

Liliana Yupanqui, Keeper of Pisces

“I admire how rivers constantly flow and progress, stopping for nothing, just like time. I'm a deeply spiritual person and this river is my temple.”

Liliana Yupanqui is the 20-year-old Keeper of Pisces in my YA Fantasy, SON OF THE SUN. She is Peruvian of both Mayan and Incan descent. She has bright blue eyes and wears a waterlily in her hair, a tradition that her mother started when she was a young girl. She is deeply intuitive and compassionate, often foreseeing events before they occur. She uses her water powers to purify the rivers and hot springs in her home town of Aguas Calientes, which sits below #Machu Picchu. Lily is a spiritual person who seeks peace and enlightenment. However, she must overcome her dark past in order to find liberation.
