Taurus Mantra

“I am grounded with the strength to change.”

Taurus is a well-grounded sign that wouldn't dare to leave the earth it so tentatively nurtures. You are unlikely to find a Taurus chasing the stars toward a far-fetched dream. Those born under this Sun Sign are often practical, reliable, stable, and responsible. They value honesty and consistency, making them ideal candidates in the workforce. Meanwhile, a Taurus can fall victim to toxic perfectionism and stubbornness if they aren't careful. Their uncompromising and workaholic nature can prove difficult when maintaining their personal lives or relationships with others. Despite their stubbornness, their patience and devotion deserve admiration from those around them.

What to Know about Taurus

The totem of Taurus is the Bull, originating from the story of Europa. It is the oldest known constellation. Taurus is an Earth Sign, along with Virgo and Capricorn. Earth is a feminine element that combines the Zodiac qualities of cold and dry. This nature keeps Taurus well-grounded and focused on practical desires in life. Born from this unyielding element, Taurus feels the most secure when stuck in its ways. Additionally, Taurus is the Fixed Sign among the Earth Signs, making Taurus the most unwavering Sign out of all 12 Zodiac Signs. The combination of an Earth and Fixed Sign makes adaptability and compromise nearly impossible for Taurus.

Taurus' ruling planet is Venus, creating a gentle and creative side to the grounded Taurus. Venus is associated with creativity, love, and beauty. This nurturing side of Taurus allows them to get in touch with nature, making them ideal gardeners. The influence of Venus on Taurus causes those born of this sign to be loyal and overprotective.

Stella Holland, Keeper of Taurus

“The older you get, the harder it becomes to believe in the extraordinary.”

Stella Holland is the 17-year-old Keeper of Taurus in my YA Fantasy, SON OF THE SUN. She is an over-achiever with earthy green eyes and dirty-blonde hair. She is the responsible scholar of the Zodiac who naturally helps the people around her. She values her family and comrades above all else, pushing them to reach their full potential. However, this stubborn Keeper does not go easy on those around her. She achieves her goals through hard work and devotion and she expects others to do the same. Despite her calm and collected exterior, Stella silently fights an internal battle against her anxiety disorder. No matter what obstacle is laid out before her, Stella will unapologetically knock it down with an uncompromising will.
